The Salvation Army Celebrates 160th Years
On 2 July 1865, William Booth preached to a crowd of people gathered at the East End of London. This moment is considered the birth of The Salvation Army, which today is a global movement that shares the love of God in 134 countries around world.
In recognition of this significant anniversary, The Salvation Army International Headquarters has created eight short films chronicling the mission of the global Salvation Army over the past 160 years.
