Marriage: We congratulate Major Ann Brunskill on her marriage to Ron Moore (from Otahuhu Corps) on Saturday 29 April 2023 in Thames. We wish Major Ann and Ron all the best for their future together and pray God’s blessing on them.
First Time Grandparents: Congratulations to Majors Allan and Linda Bateman on the safe arrival of their first grandchild, Dorian Kenneth Rundle, born on 24 April 2023, weighing 7lb 10oz (3.45 kgs).
International Service Appointment: Effective 3 June 2023: Major Nigel Luscombe has been appointed as Territorial Financial Secretary (pro term – on secondment) in Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands Territory. Major Luscombe will share his time based between Papua New Guinea and New Zealand in this appointment.
Promotion to Glory: Commissioner Margaret Siamoya was promoted to Glory on 15 March 2023 from Eldoret, Kenya. An officer of the Zambia Territory, whose appointment at the time of her promotion was Territorial Commander, Kenya West Territory. Commissioner Siamoya entered the training college from her home corps of Lubombo as a cadet in the Followers of Jesus session, and was commissioned as a Salvation Army officer on 17 November 1991. We offer our condolences and assurance of our prayers, especially to the commissioner’s family members, but also to her friends and the many people who have been abundantly blessed by her ministry and service.
International appointments and promotions: Effective 1 May 2023: Lt-Colonels Zothanmawia and Vanlalnungi are appointed as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries, India Western Territory. Majors Gabriel and Chaya Dewri are appointed as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries, Bangladesh Territory.
Effective 1 June 2023: Major Elizabeth Nelson is appointed as Territorial Commander, Bangladesh Territory, with the rank of Lt-colonel.
Effective 1 July 2023: Major Saga Lippo is appointed as Territorial Commander and Territorial President of Women’s Ministries, Finland and Estonia Territory, with the rank of Lt-colonel. Majors David and Anna Kotrikadze are appointed as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries, Finland and Estonia Territory. Majors Andrews and Sunita Christian are appointed as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries, India Northern Territory, with the rank of Lt-colonel.
